Beasley Says He's Better Than Clowney (He Is)

FOXCLEMSON, SC (WIS) -
Clemson Tigers senior defensive end Vic Beasley has seen comparisons to South Carolina's Jadeveon Clowney, but according to Beasley, there is no comparison.
"I feel like I'm the better player," Beasley said in an interview with Sports Illustrated.
Beasley is back in Clemson for his senior season this year despite considering overtures to turn pro after last season.
"The reason I didn't go is because I wanted to get my degree," Beasley said to the magazine.
So far, he's registered two sacks this season.
Clowney, meanwhile, was selected first overall in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans.

Sure, Vic Beasley might not end up being the #1 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft, but I'll bet he has a better senior season and NFL career than Jadeveon Clowney. When you're watching Clemson games on TV, Beasley could honestly look like a tight end or a big wide receiver. I saw the dude in Bojangles one time (we're basically best friends) and let me tell you, that man is frickin jacked. He's not 6'5" like Clowney, but he's got similar athleticism. And as far as intangibles go, Beasley wins that battle in a landslide. Vic works so much harder than Clowney because he actually wants to be on the field. He doesn't wanna injure his knee or ankle or whatever the hell it was by jumping up to block a pass and landing down unathletically in his first game of the season (Clowney did that). Beasley probably woulda been a first round pick last year had he gone to the draft, but he wanted to stick around and get his degree. And a sociology degree isn't as run of the mill as a communications or PRTM degree is for a football player. That takes some guts to come back and get a degree instead of going to the NFL and making a 6 or 7 digit salary (even though he'll probably make more by waiting til next year). Beasley doesn't take plays off like Clowney, he doesn't sit out games even though he's cleared to play like Clowney, and he has more production than Clowney.
Vic will probably be moved to outside linebacker at the next level, and if he can adjust well, then that'll be a serious problem for offenses. Have fun with the 6'3" 235 pound linebacker. Good lord. Dude's a beast
Clowney sucks.
