College Football: Week 3 in Review

Another week of college football is in the books, and here I am with the recap of the AP Top 25.Wasn't an awesome week, but there were a few great games and a couple of upsets.

1. Florida State Seminoles: BYE

2. Oregon Ducks (vs. Wyoming, W 48-14): Ducks offense got off to a bit of a slow start, but they churned out another 40+ point performance.

3. Alabama Crimson Tide (vs. Southern Miss, W 52-12): Has Alabama played anyone worth a shit yet?

4. Oklahoma Sooners (vs. Tennessee, W 34-10): Tennessee isn't very good, but Oklahoma has looked pretty solid this season.

5. Auburn Tigers: BYE

6. Georgia Bulldogs (@ #24 South Carolina, L 38-35): Georgia should probably get a new offensive coordinator. Play calling was terrible, especially after the INT that got them to the 4 yard line. How do you not run it with Gurley on that first play? Mindboggling. And you should probably get a new kicker too. Dude blows.

7. Texas A&M Aggies (vs. Rice, W 38-10): Why is everyone playing Rice? They suck.

8. Baylor Bears (@ Buffalo, W 63-21): Hey, at least Baylor took the challenge of going up to Buffalo and play inside the feared University at Buffalo Stadium. Hostile environment up there.

9. USC Trojans (@ Boston College, L 37-31): I know it was an important night for BC, recognizing the Red Bandanna man, but how do you lose to Boston College? Just beat Stanford, and then lose to Boston College. That's college football I guess.

10. LSU Tigers (vs. UL Monroe, W 31-0): No one cares.

11. Notre Dame Fighting Irish (vs. Purdue, W 30-14): Thought they were gonna lose to Purdue for a second. Just kidding, Purdue sucks.

12. UCLA Bruins (@ Texas, W 20-17): UCLA just keeps pulling wins outta their asses. Should be 0-3. Holy shit. Good comeback win though, I guess. LOVE Gus Johnson announcing this game, too.

13. Michigan State Spartans: BYE

14. Ole Miss Rebels (vs. LA Lafayette, W 56-15): How bout play a good team Ole Miss?

15. Stanford Cardinal (vs. Army, W 35-0): Army isn't good, but hey, way to shut em out Stanford.

16. Arizona State Sun Devils (@ Colorado, W 38-24): Is Colorado decent? If so, good win ASU. If not, just an average win for the Sun Devils.

17. Virginia Tech Hokies (vs. East Carolina, L 28-21): So VA Tech goes to Ohio State and takes care of the Buckeyes, and then comes home and gets tremendously outplayed by ECU. That was a nice one week stay in the Top 25 Hokies. See ya.

18. Wisconsin Badgers: BYE

19. Kansas State Wildcats: BYE

20. Missouri Tigers (vs. UCF, W 38-10): Need some exciting games around here.

21. Louisville Cardinals (@ Virginia, L 23-21): Maybe Virginia will be decent this year. If not, this seems like a pretty bad loss for the Cards.

22. Ohio State Buckeyes (vs. Kent State, W 66-0): Nothing like bouncing back from a loss to Virginia Tech with a beat down of Kent State.

23. Clemson Tigers: BYE

24. South Carolina Gamecocks (vs. #6 Georgia, W 38-35): The Gamecocks finally looked like the team they were predicted to be.

25. BYU Cougars (vs. Houston, W 33-25): Welcome to the Top 25 BYU. Shitty win. Houston isn't good.

Screw FSU getting a bye before playing us AGAIN. We got a bye too, so hopefully we'll be a little more competitive than last year.

We all know what happened next.

Back for revenge bitches.
