College Football: Week 15 Roundup

Championship week in college football meant only a few games, and sadly no picture of Deshaun headlining my blog because Clemson didn't play.

1. Alabama Crimson Tide (vs. #16 Missouri, W 42-13): Bama took the SEC title pretty easily. Missouri isn't that great. They basically cruised to win the East by not playing the good SEC teams. They got shut out against Georgia and I think it was pretty easy to see that a blowout against Alabama was more likely than the Tigers keeping it close.

2. Oregon Ducks (vs. #7 Arizona, W 51-13): Marcus Mariota wasn't gonna let Arizona beat him yet again. At this point, I don't see much getting in the way of Mariota and the Ducks but we'll see. FSU tends not to lose. Like ever.

3. TCU Horned Frogs (vs. Iowa State, W 55-3): The only problem here is that the committee made TCU think that all they had to do was blow out awful Iowa State and they'd hold on to the #3 spot. But I guess the committee works in mysterious ways and don't take everything into account each week, until the season is over.

4. Florida State Seminoles (vs. #11 Georgia Tech, W 37-35): I don't think there was any doubt that Georgia Tech would give FSU a run for their money in the ACC title game, but to think Tech would actually win would be stupid. I hate Florida State. A lot. But you kinda gotta be messed up in the head to think they'll lose at this point. But go Oregon. Both teams look unstoppable right now in their own different ways.

5. Ohio State Buckeyes (vs. #13 Wisconsin, W 59-0): Wow. I did not see this one coming. Third string QB for the Bucks. A Wisconsin team that was pretty much on fire. Ohio State impressed me for the first time this year in the Big 10 title game. Big win.

6. Baylor Bears (vs. #9 Kansas State, W 38-27): I really wanted K State to win so TCU had a chance of getting into the playoffs, but it turned out Ohio State was too dominant anyway so neither TCU or Baylor got in. Good season for the Bears though.

7. Arizona Wildcats (vs. #2 Oregon, L 51-13): You'd have to be insane to think Mariota was gonna let the Wildcats beat him again. Sorry Zona.

8. Michigan State Spartans: BYE

9. Kansas State Wildcats (@ #6 Baylor, L 38-27): The Wildcats did a decent job of slowing down Baylor since the Bears consistently score in the 40s, but it was still too much for them. And they couldn't do enough on offense to counter the Bears attack. Not a bad season for K State at all though.

10. Mississippi State Bulldogs: BYE

11. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (vs. #4 Florida State, L 37-35): Sick defense. That's what happens when you don't get the gift of playing against Cole Stoudt.

12. Ole Miss Rebels: BYE

13. Wisconsin Badgers (vs. #5 Ohio State, L 59-0): Just pathetic effort from Wisco. Nothing else really to say about that.

14. Georgia Bulldogs: BYE

15. UCLA Bruins: BYE

16. Missouri Tigers (vs. #1 Alabama, L 42-13): The Tigers were just overmatched. Bama was too much to handle.

17. Arizona State Sun Devils: BYE

18. Clemson Tigers: BYE

19. Auburn Tigers: BYE

20. Oklahoma Sooners (vs. Oklahoma State, L 38-35): Bad loss for the Sooners. Gave up two touchdowns in the last couple minutes to send it to overtime and then couldn't even get a field goal in the OT. Not a lot of momentum heading into the bowl matchup against my Tigers.

21. Louisville Cardinals: BYE

22. Boise State Broncos (vs. Fresno State, W 28-14): Oh, waddup Boise State. Welcome to the top 25. Broncos win and now are heading to the Fiesta Bowl which they are oh so familiar with.

23. Utah Utes: BYE

24. LSU Tigers: BYE

24. USC Trojans: BYE

So that's it for the college football season (except for Army vs Navy this Saturday) until the bowl games.

Click here if you wanna check out the full college football bowl schedule. Clemson takes on Oklahoma in the Russell Athletic Bowl. We'll see if they decide to play Deshaun or just go ahead with the surgery now. Probably won't watch if Cole Stoudt plays.
